KICK PLASTIC

About KICK PLASTIC
Americans may be recycling more than ever before, but we’re also making more trash than ever before. So even though we’re getting better, our oceans continue to get worse—strangled by plastic bottles, bags and other trash. As fishermen, we’re in a unique position to do something about it. The oceans are our backyard, our playground, and you can bet we’ll be there to keep an eye on them.

By helping to spread the word and reducing our reliance on disposable packaging, we can man the front lines in this fight against ocean trash and help kick our plastic habit.

What You Can Do
Participate in International Cleanup Day. Join the largest volunteer cleanup effort on Saturday 17, 2016 for International Coastal Cleanup Day. Click Here to find a cleanup site near you!

Stop using plastic bottles. A reusable bottle is better for the environment, more cost efficient and keeps your drink colder longer.
Say goodbye to grocery bags. Plastic grocery bags can be replaced with reusable ones. Yes, even produce bags.

Buying in bulk makes a big impact. Sometimes we don’t notice the amount of packaging that comes with each product, but it adds up pretty fast.
Take plastic out of takeout. Decline bags and utensils when ordering takeout. You can even ask restaurants to pack food in your own containers.
