Hear tips on fly fishing in salt water
The Fly Fishers of Davis will hear from Jay Murakoshi this month, who will give a presentation on fly fishing tactics and destination information for salt water species in Baja California and Christmas Island. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Harper Junior High School, 4000 E. Covell Blvd. in Davis
If fly fishing in salt water is on your bucket list, then the Sea of Cortez should be your destination trip. The Sea of Cortez had more than 700 species, such as dorado, marlin, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, jack crevalle, roosterfish, grouper, skipjack and yellowtail. These are seasonal species so you have to pick the right time to target them.
